Query: Hi! I’m 15 and I’m doing some research into my chreokee heriatage. I’m not sure exactly how much cherokee is in me but it believe its about 1/64. I live in Australia, but my grandmother was born in Nebraska. I dont really know where to start looking for my roots so I would really appreciate some advice. Query: Can someone please find for me the maiden name for a maggie sparks. I only know that her mother was full blood and her marriage to jesse sparks would have been sometime around 1960-1979. She had about 5 children one of which was my father who is called frank folger scott, but I have reason to believe that may not be his last name. Query: Researching BAUGH of lauderdale Co., AL. Lots of family “stories” of native blood. Facts: James H. Baugh of VA b. 1806 moved to Lauderdale Co., AL. Waterloo. His son, William H. This line of Cantrell’s (starting more currently and going backwards) would be William P Cantrell of Seymour, MO., his father Obidiah Cantrell, and his father Noah C Cantrell of McMinn, TN. Query: Hi, My grandfather was 1/2 Cherokee Indian, we were always told that my g.grandmother was full blooded Cherokee and that her family was higher up in the tribe. Her family would be from the GA/AL area, near Fort Payne I believe. All I know is that she was born in the late 1800’s probably btwn 1880 and 1890, she went by the name of Mary Evans (English name) and had two brothers, named Frank and Calvin. Can anyone be of any help? She married a Joseph Brown Bell b. 1861 Butte Co. GA, his mother was Ann Bell (no known father) and my grandfathers name was Pinkney I Bell, he had a brother named David Tipton and a sister named Gardetta (called Det) There where other children also. Help.
