Query: I am writing to anyone with information on the Click family, particularly Harold Click. Harold Click married Mary (unknown) presumably in Indiana. Harold Click moved from North Carolina to Indiana, where he died. After he died Mary moved to Wyoming where she brought Harold Click jr (or the third) who is my father. If you don’t know this, then could someone help me with something else. I found a click on the Dawes Rolls (online database) but there was only “, Click” no first name. Query: I am looking for information regarding my great-great grandmother, Elizabeth Sarah Norwood, born either in AR or MS c. 1843. She was said to have been 1/2 Cherokee Indian. Query: Our family name is Griffith and they were living in the area of Vonore TN since the early 1800’s. I only know a few names of the relatives but I do remember there were mounds on the land, at least 3, before the dam was built and the area flooded. My mother always thought we had Cherokee blood but I have not been able to verify it as true. All parties are gone and all I have are some memories of visiting the family in a cabin in the 50’s.

Query: I am desparartely trying to research my Great Grandmother’s family. Her name was Ida Grace (Gracie) STOUT. She was born 13 July 1895 (Tennessee or N. Carolina) and passed away 16 September 1973 (Kingsport Tennesee). She married my Great Grandfather Enoch Calvin JONES on horseback the 28 August 1910 at the age of 15. It was said that she was Cherokee (I am unsure to what degree – full or part) and the daughter of an important member of her tribe. It was also sadi that her family were part of the Cherokee Eastern Band that retreated into the mountains of TN/NC and did not or refused leave. Unfortunately, I have come to a dead end in my research as to her parents or other family members. Does anyone have any information regarding her of her parents? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Query: My grandmother was according to oral family history a Cherokee. Her name was Anna Lea KERNS and she married Charles Henry PROFFITT in Trenton Missouri. She was born 5/30/1900 and died in 1934. She was supposed to have received land in Oklahoma but she died before she could go, Her marriage license has her name as Lee KERENS. Her father’s name was Benjamin KERNS and her mother’s name was either Hattie or Sarah JOHNSON. My grandfather Charles Henry PROFFITT was the son of Isiah Alvin PROFFITT and Serena Jane VERMILLION. Isiah Alvin PROFFITT was the son of William PROFFITT and Sarah Ann PRIEST. Sarah Priest was somehow related to Sarah GOE. I believe that there is native american heritage on his side as well. My grandmother does not seem to exist on paper other than her marriage license.

Query: I am looking for information on Margarett Susan Daniel or Claywell born 1870. Also Lilly Mae Daniel or Danels born Feb. 20, 1897. I know they had a roll number and I have searched the rolls but maybe the names were different on the rolls. I was told that the court house where the numbers were on record burned. I don’t remember where the court house was located. They are both buried in Red Oak, OK. Not sure where either were born.
