Query: I know I am at least 25% Cherokee in bloodline, my soul is 100%. I know who I am and I’m proud to be Cherokee. My great- grandfather is Otto Morris from Oklahoma and my grandmother is Bertha Morris. Bertha was born in 1910 and died in Arkansas in January 1933. My father was 9 months old then and the only surviving twin. His twin sister died at 6 months old, October 1932. the twins DOB was April 8, 1932. There was 3 girls born before the twins but one was still born. I was almost 21 when my father died in 1978. I never got to know my family due to their short life spans. I will be 50 next year and would love to just get to know a few details about them since I am probably pushing the clock. I’d like for my daughter to know where her dark hair came from. I’d also love to see a picture of my grandmother, I’ve been told that I only had to look into a mirror to see her. All I want from this is a few stories about my family to tell my twin grandchildren when they get here in February. They are all I have left of the bloodline, my son died last year at age 19. If anybody knows of any stories of my family and will tell me, I will go to Oklahoma to sit and listen and be eternally grateful. Patricia Karr “Lady Bug”.
