Query: Looking on information for William Holloway who married Ophelia coggins had son Steven Columbus Holloway (prior mentioned as Steven Charles this is incorrect) Steven Columbus Holloway married Pearlie mae Roach 1st Bertha Jane Fowler 2nd had son Steven Phillips Holloway (Pearlie Mae is mother) this family is of Georgia and Alabama and supposedly William’s parents were also from Georgia. Query: My grandmother’s great-grandmother was supposed to be a full blooded Cherokee. Her daughter, Nora P Russell was born on March 1882 in West Virginia. The census records indicate that both of her parents were also born in West Virginia, but I have been unable to find their names or any further details. We are currently studying Indians with our boys and would love to be able to share with them some Indian heritage.

Query: I am in the process of trying to find out the lineage of my family on my mother’s side. There are stories that either my great grandfather or great great grandfather was a native american. I don’t know how to go about proving my lineage/blood line. My great grandfather’s name was Earl W. Parr born on March 3, 1896 in Ohio. According to the records, he was living in the Mad River Township in Ohio in 1900. My great great grandfather’s name was James M. Parr. He was born in April 1847 in Ohio and died in Dayton Ward 6, Montgomery, Ohio in 1920. My 3rd great grandfather was born in Kentucky in 1824 and according to records died at Magisterial District 4, Bald Knob, Baileys Mill, Flat Creek Precincts, Franklin, Kentucky. I researched a little and found out the there were several tribes in both areas around those times. How would I go about finding out my heritage and tribe I am from?

Query: I am doing research on my mother’s side of the ward family. she swears her grandmother and grandmothers mother both were cherokee indian. doing research I am finding out narcassa urbana rice married a fleetwood, her mother mary lucinda married a samual rice. they list her as Baney Rice. Query: Our family geneology begins with one Mary Ann Brown,a cherokee indian. At the age of three, she was found in Muretta, Georgia and was adopted by the Brown familyand given their name. She married Nehamiah Sparks in 1781, and had 3 children; Sarah Sparks, Marshall sparks, and sanford Sparks. in 1894 she moved to Greer Co., Oklahoma and was a member of the Navajoe Church until her death on Nov. 24, 1897. I am searching for any information on the lineage of mary Ann Brown-Sparks. She is the child of Cherokee Indians that lived in Muretta, Georgia in the 1850 – 60’s.

Query: I am trying to find and verify family information. I am the granddaughter of James Edward TARPLEY. His father was John Edward TARPLEY and his mother was Lucy Ann MAXWELL. Query: Looking for information on Thomas LEE (LEA) and Mary HOLMES LEE. Both are on the Drennen Roll So had to be born at least by 1835-1840 Not on the 1880 census. Had 3 children, George, Margaret, and Charlotte. Margaret married John Edward GUNTER had one son George Edward Gunter who lists this family on his Eastern Cherokee Application then David GOFF. Margaret was born 1855 died about 1886 Charlotte married James SEABOLT (This whole family died very young.) Talk about a brick wall, I know thier parents, Alsie BROWN HOLMES and Walter LEE.
