Query: Would like to have genealogy for Nancy Berry, b. prior to 1800, NC, m. ? Irvin, Irwin, Ervin, Erwin. One son, Samuel. Nancy was full blood Cherokee. The son, Sam, who was my ggg grandpa moved to Bedford Co. TN by abt 1820, then they moved west to AR. ( Sam died enroute, in MO.) Somehow related to Hicks. Not known how. Need info. Also, have a grt grt grandmother I can’t find any info on. The g grandpa was named T.N.? Campion, b. 1866 AL, moved to IT abt late 1880’s. Had female child in Oct. 1891. The mother died of “Child bed fevor”. I have never found any information at all as to who this woman was. I think Campion was white, or part white, unknown about mother who died of child bed fevor. Campion remarried later to another woman, not my g grandma. My grandma, the child born when the mother died of child bed fevor, also died when my mother was a baby. We have been unable to find this info. Can’t understand why we can’t find marriage license. Not married? Indian marriage rites?? I don’t know. The g grandpa lived near the Poteau area at that time.
