Query: Arrniswakie Thompson was my great great grandmother. She was married to a white man, John Thompson. They lived in Tennessee, and were given a reservation at the time of removal. I have the reservation # and description. They were forced to leave, however, and joined the immigration to Arkansas. We are unable to obtain citizenship because they did not go to Oklahoma. Why would this be? No one in my family is interested in obtaining money or housing or schooling. We merely want recognition of our roots, a citizenship card.
