Great grandparents were Henry Spark Wren and Hepsie Cole Wren (Lonie) and John and Nancy Humphries Abel. Have found Wren on Emigration Roll in North Carolina having migrated to Arkansas and on to Oklahoma. The timeframe conincides with birthdates, etc. Also found two Wrens on Dawes Roll believed to be great uncles. This is my maternal side. Am attempting to register with Cherokee Nation. Great grandfather, Henry Spark Wren was County Commissioner in Sequoyah County, OK for three terms in the 1930’s and was allotted land on the Arkansas River (near Wild Horse Mountain and Sallisaw, OK). My mother, Bernice Inez Abel Thoele was born in Brent Township/Sequoyah County OK and died October 1995. All grandparents and both parents are deceased.

Query: Rutherford was a male Cherokee living in Kentucky or Tennessee. About 1830 a white woman, Lucinda Warner, was abducted to the Cherokee settlemen where Rutherford lived. She had a child by him, Alfred Warner, born 1832. Lucinda and her child were “abducted back”, and she went on to raise Alfred and her other children by her Warner husband. Alfred married Caroline Blaylock, and they raised a large family in Bledsoe County, Tennessee. I would like to find out anything possible about Rutherford.

Query: Katie Harrop was born in the Ohio River Valley circa 1867. Married to James Worcester, then Ike Harrop. Have been trying to trace ancestry for 20+years. Katie mothered Charlie Worcester who was father to John Worcester, Bob Worcester, Wilbur Worcester, and LLoyd Worcester. She summered on the Reservation in Oklahoma, and wintered in Indiana. The four boys, her grandsons, accompanied her on her trips to the Reservation.

Query: My great-great grandfather’s name was Tony Neal, who was from the Eastern Band, Cherokee Nation, located in Western North Carolina about 1860. He had siblings, one of which was my great grandfather, whose name was George “Sandy” Mashburn. Sandy’s mother was Mary “Monk” Mashburn. Sandy’s wife was Catherine Mashburn and they had 3 childgen. They lived in McDowell County, North Carolina, near Old Fort, North Carolina. I am attempting to find out any information about Tony Neal or any or his realitives, i.e., his parents, brothers, sisters, etc.

Query: Nancy E. Pierce was born in Hall County, Georgia on July 12, 1859. A brother is Bartow Pierce born in 1855. Nancy married Gottfried Herman Julius Bilke in Missouri on June 12, 1875. Bartow married Carolyn Chandler in Hall County, Georgia on January 13, 1884. I am looking for information on their parents. One story indicates father was French trader and mother full Cherokee. Another story indicates that father was 1/2 French and 1/2 Cherokee. Nancy and G. Herman Bilke had six children: Emma Millison born 1877, John Herman born 1879, Minnie died at birth, Nellie D. born 1884, Anna Mable born 1886, Mary Katherine born 1890.

Query: Henry Dillard Martin born in late 1890 in Oklahoma. We do not have any information on his brother’s, he died in Santa Margarita California in 1968 we think. He had three children. A daughter born Olita Martin in Springtown Texas, who had six children. Henry Dillard Martin is believed to be three-quarter Cherokee and we would like any and all information we can find. we have been searching for a while to no avail.

Query: I am looking for information on any Cherokee links to the US families Bertand and Lemire. I know Edouard Lemire fought for the Union army and died in Canada about 1920. I know Azilda Bertand was born 1850+ in US and married (1st wife) Edouard Lemire. Family history says that there was a very recent Amerindian connection, but unfortunately all family papers were burned at the beginning of this century so that Edouard’s daughters would not carry Indian cards. Edouard and Azilda and their children were granted a claim in Colorado after the Civil War. They were the only family which escaped the local massacres (due, it is said to Azilda’s amerindian connections) and they fled back to the Vermont/Quebec area, where the family stayed settled.

Query: I am desperatley seeking if any of my ancestors where Native American. I was told as a child by my great grand mother that I was decinded from the Cherokee people. She said that her grand mother had walked the Trail of Tears. She also mentioned a name Tsali” but I can’t recall in what her meaning was. I never knew my father, Charles Everitt Chaffin of Ft. Query: Jerry Michael Walker is the biological father of my two children. 4 1/2 years ago, Mr. Walker asked my husband to adopt my children and same was adjudicated shortly thereafter. I know that Mr. Walker is listed on the Cherokee Roll as are his two sisters and both parents. His father is John Jerry Walker and his mother is Carolyn (Jane ?) Walker. Sister Lisa Jane Walker-Smith and sister Kathy (?) Walker-?. Jerry Walker has a son from a previous marriage, Christopher Michael Walker, that I’m relatively sure is on the Roll as well. To the best of my knowledge, all of these people live in the Tulsa area. I believe they were all born in Tulsa. I need to find out how to get Jerry Walker’s Roll number so that my children can get their numbers, too. We don’t have any health insurance and my beautiful nine year old daughter desperately needs eye glasses and dental braces. I haven’t got a clue where to start.

Query: Frank McDaniel: Born sometime around 1900. Was imprisoned in Frankfurt, KY before 1935. Escaped in 1935 was caught 6-12 months later and was sentenced to life and 99 years but was eventually released. Possibly resided in Ohio after his release. Was raised by is sister Sarah. Sophie Jane Long was second cousin.
