His parents were Harvey and Martha Jameson. I have come up with nothing in searching records and family trees. None of the dates match. I believe he would have been aprox. 10 years old during the Trail of Tears. I have not been able to find any such names on the Cherokee rolls. He came to British Columbia Canada sometime in the 1850’s and married the youngest daughter of the Chief of the Ashnola Similkameen people, her name was Tattoose, Latlatka. We have the history only from when he married her, nothing of who he was previous to that. If anyone knows anything, please contact me.

Query: I have been told since I can remember that we have Native American blood in us from my mother’s side. I’m trying to find out if it is true or not. The line(s) I have been referred to are as follows:
Dollie Tupper daughter of: Charles Perry Tupper and his wife Eliza Ferguson. (We are not sure if Eliza is the one referred to or if it is Charles). Dollie is my maternal grandfather’s mom. She was married 3 times. The side I come in is from her 2nd marriage to a Luther JONES. She, evidently, died in Maxwell, NM around 1915.
Also my grandma Jones; Ethel Mae Jones insisted that there is native american blood on her side. Her maiden name is CORN. Grandma would be Dollie Tupper’s daughter-in-law. Both Tuppers and Corn were/are in Oklahoma. If there is anyone out there who may have more information than what I have, please let me know.

Query: First off, I want to apologize for submiting just my name. I didn’t realise that hitting enter would submit it, I thought it would just put me down to the email address. My Great-grandmother always told me stories about our family being Cherokee. Unfortunately she passed away before I was old enough to ask any details. So, I’m asking for help. Her name was Estella White-Durham-Delk. I don’t know where she was born, but she passed away in Sweethome, Oregon in 1975. Her age, at that time was said to be 90 years old. I know that she lived in Oklahoma in the early 1900’s. Her maiden name was White, her first husband was a Durham, and when he divorced her, she married a Delk. She had 2 daughters by her first husband. Bonnie, was given to her husband in the divorce and since she was pregnant with my Grandmother (Brenice), she was allowed to keep her. With her second husband she had one daughter and three sons. The daughter was Mary Lena, and the sons were Tom, Dave and one who’s name I don’t remember. I don’t know where or how to start, but if anyone knows of her or has any advice I would appreciate it.

Query: I’m looking for info on either Mark Noble or his wife Sarah Yancey. Their daughter Emelia Millie Noble was my GGGGGrandmother and the family has always maintained that she was a Cherokee full blood. Her husband’s family disowned him when he married her. The Nobles were suppossedly involved in helping the Cherokee in Alabama around 1830 – 1845 and, again suppossedly, helped set up schools for them. Any info you could give would be appreciated. I know Mark Noble’s family were orginally from S. Carolina but I have no info whatsoever on Sarah Yancey’s family (also the Carolinas). Their daughter Emelia Millie Noble married Abram LaRue in Marshall Co. Alabama around 1845. Their daughter Elizabeth Parilee LaRue married my GGGGrandfather William Jasper Thrasher.

Sometime between 11 Oct 1857, when their oldest child, Julia Anna Ida Shore, was born in Arkansas, and 11 Mar 1873, when she was married in Summerville, Oregon, Mary Elizabeth Tilman and Thomas William Shore moved to Oregon, there remaining for the rest of their lives. The only other information we have on Mary Elizabeth Tilman is from an old family bible listing Monroe and Mira Tilman as witnesses to her wedding. (I have always wondered if she was born on the Trail of Tears, possibly taken in by some kind family. This is pure speculation on my part.) I cannot locate, nor connect due to families unwillingness to tell me anything, and when I do find something it disappears before I can go anywhere with it. It’s like someone is trying to keep me from finding out anything. Thank you in advance, and all e-mail is welcome.

Query: Ward family being of Indian decent I think possibly Cherokee. Richard Ward born 11/5/1779 – died 4/1864 married Amelia ? Muck born 3/12/1804, died 4/1877. My grandmother died when my mother was only 4yrs. She was raised in foster home, don’t know any maternal family. But looking in the mirror I see resemblance to Indian heritage. If anyone can help please e-mail advice on how to find any info.
