Below are the original Cherokee Genealogy Query Boards dating from April 1998 until June 2014. These boards are organized by month — all queries posted to the site during a given month appear on that board. In order to find a specific surname or other detail, simply use the find feature of your browser. You can do this by choosing “Find in Page” from the Edit menu or by hitting the “Ctrl” and “F” keys at the same time. A box will pop up with a field for you to enter your keyword. Type in the word you are searching. If the name is on that page it will take you right to it. Then you can hit “Find Next” to see if the name is on the page more than once.
Each old query is listed with an email address. This is the only way to contact the original poster. If the email address bounces, you can post a new query hoping to research the original poster or to reach others searching your family tree on the new Cherokee Genealogy Query Board.
