Cherokee Nation Headquarters
The Cherokee Nation Headquarters Complex sits on the south side of Tahlequah and houses the main offices for the Cherokee Nation government. In addition the grounds house the office for the Cherokee Phoenix newspaper.
Within the Cherokee Nation Headquarters Complex is the "Cherokee FIRST" office. This office serves as an information center and customer service center for tribal citizens as well as visitors. The center can help answer questions about community programs, tribal procedures, and even houses a few helpful genealogy resources.
But it's not all business at the Cherokee Nation Headquarters. Visit the Cherokee Nation Giftshop for souvenir hunting and check out the Restaurant of the Cherokees for a delicious buffet, including some authentic Cherokee options.
Access: Tours available upon request, but the restaurant, giftshop, and Cherokee FIRST Visitor's Center are open to the public.
