Looking for my lineage. My father’s mother was full blooded Cherokee Indiana from Kentucky area. My maiden name is Sweet. My father’s family is from Kentucky and his mother was Della Carter Sweet.

There is a Della M. Carter Sweet born in 1911 in KY. Is this your grandmother by chance?

She was the daughter of Silvester Carter (1878 – 1944) and Mary Katherine Sweet (1894 – 1980). She married Voida Sweet. Della’s mother, Mary Katherine Sweet, and Vioda’s father, George Sweet, were first cousins.
There’s a lot of information out there on these families, but first it should be clarified if we are talking about the same individual.
