I am so sorry. I have 2 separate bloodlines that can be linked back to the Cherokee Nation and I crossed the data on the 2 as I was inputting the information.

Ah-Le-Cie (1745-1825) took the Christian name of Sarah Elizabeth when she married Abraham Conrad Johann Seabolt (1743-1821). They lived in Rattlesnake Cove at the head of East Seabolt Creek, next to Lake Winfield Scott National Recreation Area, Chattahoochee/ Oconee National Forest, In Suches, Union County Georgia. I have been told her parents and maternal grandparents are buried on a ridge overlooking a tributary of East Seabolt Creek in the traditional Cherokee rock mounds.
Ah-Le-Cie would be my great-great-great-great grandmother. Her Son was Solomon Seabolt (1803-1879) who married Catherine Flower (1807-1879). I cannot find any further information on Catherine Flower.
I would be very interested in learning more about Ah-Le-Cie, her parents, and their family.
And I would like to know if Catherine Flower is of Cherokee descent.

Ah-Le-Cie was a direct Grandmother of mine as well. Catherine Stophel Flowers was the sister of my Grandfater Andrew Flowers and their brother was Peter Flowers.
Catherine Stophel Flowers married Soloman Sylvanus Seabolt, the son of Ah-Le-Cie
Andrew Flowers married Sarah Sally Seabolt daughter of Ah-Le-Cie
Peter Flowers married Mary Martha Seabolt.also the daughter of Ah-Le-Cie
Andrew Flowers had a son named Andrew Rufus Flowers who married Sarah Emily Self.
Andrew Rufus Flowers had a son Rufus Henry Flowers
Rufus Henry had a son Paul Alexander Flowers, who was my grandfather.
I am interested in any info that can be found further.

Hi Terry. Ah-le-cie was also my 4th Grandmother. The property at Rattlesnake Cove where her Mother and other relatives were buried was in 2009, I believe, made a desiginated Cherokee Indian Cemetery. I have friends from Suches who are going to take me to the area to try to find their graves. I tried to find Ah-le-cies grave at Mt.Zion Church in Suches – where it’s noted that they, my Grandfather and she were buried. The Indian graves are not marked. I would like to think that she and Grandfather Abraham Conrad Johann would have been buried at Rattlesnake Cove with 5th Grandmother who owned the Cove Property. The oldest photo I have of that bloodline is of my great-grandfather, Mathew L Seabolt, (1864-1931)..
For what it’s worth, my daughter couldn’t find the grave either, but she was afraid to hike back into the woods by herself to look for the old burial mound.
I have also gone over to Cherokee, NC to query their records and learned that, they never kept records. They can’t even tell me what clan she might have been part of.

It turns out Ah-le-cie is also in my family tree, My line goes though Abraham the younger. Myself being from Christchurch New Zealand and only finding out today we have this ancestral link, I wasn’t sure where to start. I saw on find a grave that Ah-le-cie didn’t have her parents names so looked up the creek name (I’m guessing the Creek was named after the Seabolt family, does it have a Cherokee name as well?) and lo and behold I found some more people looking for the same thing I am! I too would love to know her parents names so hopefully one day we will have answers! Happy searching everyone!!

I wish I could tell you more, but this is all I have. I went to the North Caroline Cherokee center, but all they can tell me is that the have no genealogies for any of the Cherokee clans. I posted here just in case anybody can add to Al-Le-Cie’s story.
