I am looking for the name of the mother of William Cassie Price, born 27 July 1878. She was full Cherokee and delivered her son (William) in Tahlequah, Cherokee County, OK. That is all I know about her. Any help would be appreciated.

Was William Price adopted after birth? The 1930 US Census states that his mother was born in Indiana, thus making it very doubtful that she could have been full blood. That was not a “known area” for Cherokee during that period of time. Census also lists him as “White”.
