Indian Princess was a verbal saying that I believe white men called their daughters as did my own father to make them feel special. Powhatan Chief daughters have been referred as such. Some European men married Indian women in the 1600-1700s. Our Indian grandmothers took European names and surnames. Although being called a Princess was not a traditional title, it was used & passed down for generations. We call our daughters Princess in all nationalities today.
