My Father’s name was Sid Mc Donald born Aug 28th 1915 in Fayette, Mississippi. My mother name was Frances Ruth Holt born Aug 14, 1918. Father had more then one brother. John stands out as one. My father’s mother was Cherokee and his father was Irish.

Note the links to her parents, grandparents, etc. Most lines are very well traced and include a number of photographs as well. They were not Cherokee. These are standard Anglo colonial roots. The family lines originated in the eastern seaboard settlements and moved west with White settlement patterns over the generations. This represented participation in American wars and taking up Native lands that had been ceded by tribal nations over the centuries.

Do you have any idea where the ( Kent ) part comes from. I recall of a Nana Lee,
