Finding Amanda Williams

Hi! I’m looking for my 3rd great grandmother, Amanda William’s parents, Lewis and Charry Kelly.

Amanda Williams was born March 1843 in Duplin, North Carolina.

I have hunches about who these people were in relation to “race” but for now, I’m going on what I remember of family stories.

My grandmother always told me about the line of Cherokee women in her family. I think I may have seen a picture of her and she very much looks like a Cherokee woman.

I’ve been looking in Duplin, Magnolia, NC for records with the surname Kelly but I cannot find anything. Anyone here have a lead?
