Jesse Stephens, son of Willis Stephens Sr. and wife Cynthia Walker. (Jesse is a half bro. of Nicholas Stephens). From family records Jesse died age 30 from pneumonia between 1855 & 1858. Jane Stephens purchased 40 acres in Morgan Co, AL Mar l, 1858. 1850 Census Morgan Co, AL, Jane with 3 ch: Robert, Scyntha C. & Willis.

1866 Census Marshall Co, AL, Jane with son-in-law Willis C .Stephens & family with her 2 other sons. 1870 Census Marshall Co. AL – Willis C. Stephens & family and Jane Stephens age 52 and her sons William age 15 and George age l2 (half bros. of Scyntha). (1900 Census Red River Co., TX – finds William “Bill” and George Franklin Stephens with families) (Their father is unknown).
Family records show Jane Stephens died age 58, abt 1876, prob buried in unmarked grave close to dau. Scyntha in Zion’s Rest Cem, Jackson Co. AL,
