I have been trying to find out about my great great grandmother Sibby Jane Holland who is said to have been full blooded Cherokee Indian. We have one picture of her and we have heard she could be the daughter or a Cherokee medicine man. I have not been able to find out anything about her but her ancestors, but it does not say anything about the Indian part of her. I would love to know as much as i possibly can about her. Thanks.

My husband is also a direct descendant of a Sibby Bearpaw that married Thomas Bearpaw. I haven’t found her maiden name or any of her birth or marriage records. Although I have transcribed her grandsons Cherokee Tribal Benefits request. Do you have any information for Sibby Jane Hollan or holland? Any information would be greatly appreciated
She was born Spetember 3rd 1841, and died in 1944. Holland is her maiden name and she married Thomas Watkins or Wadkins in 1877. I was able to find the name of her possible father. What was the significance of the name Bearpaw to them? my mother wasnt aware of that. Also, you transcribed her grandsons Cherokee tribal benefits request? What is that?
