This is my great grandmother. Her daughter, my grandmother, Irene Knox Paul is Cherokee. Another daughter is named Bertha Knox Simmons. She married George Allen Knox, my great grandfather. I’m trying to find any information on my family.

Hi cousin! I’m Sarah and my great-great grandmother is Ida Lena Bryant Knox. My great-grandfather is her son William Theophilius Knox, your uncle. I have heard of your mother from my grandfather, William’s son, Preston Lee Knox (though I didn’t believe him when he told me he had a great-aunt still alive in the early 2000s hahaha). I have no knowledge of the family being Cherokee. I’ve been deep into the genealogy of the family for many years and have never heard this before! Was George Allen Knox part Cherokee? I have never found any information on his parents despite looking for many years, this could be the explanation. I’d love to keep in touch with your side of the family!
