Query: O’siyo! I am looking for other descendants of Sans Atwood &/or Ann (Read) Morris. Each of them is a parent of one of my (reportedly) Cherokee Great Grandfathers. My Gr. Grandpa J.T. Morris was the U.S. Marshall who killed Belle Starr’s husband, James Reed; & according to family history, because of this job he was forbidden from registering on the rolls as a Cherokee. Mama’s other Grandpa; Sampson Eli Atwood, simply married an Irish girl & was (apparently) saving his neck from the Klan. I’ve been told by a friend (who passed away before he could finish our genealogy) that we still have Atwood relatives in Bartlesville. Hope some of y’all can help. Wado in advance, & Donada
