I am looking for information on my ancestors and am said to be descended from Amy Reese/Reece (sometimes even Reuse or Rose on poorly kept records) who later married William Lemmons/Lemons/Semmons. Amy is said to be the daughter of Charles Reese and possibly one of his three Cherokee sister wives, Lucinda (the other two were Dianna and Louisa). Amy was born around 1815 in Tennessee and I believe both parents were born in old Cherokee, TN. I believe both of Amy’s parents may have went to OK but I believe Amy married a white man and stayed in Tennessee. I am looking for any information on both Amy and Charles and especially any information that proves their connection. Thank you in advance for any help.

I am from Amy Reese and William Lemons line. They are my ggg grandparents. I am also trying to see if there is any connection to Charles Reese. Several members of my family and myself have taken DNA testing and have some Native American. We know this comes from my Lemon’s side but I’m trying to determine if this may be the connection through Amy Reese. I haven’t found anything connecting her definitely to Charles Reese, wondered if you had since this post is almost a couple years old.
