GrGrGr Grandparent Robin C. “Bebb” Major, born 1787

May 9, 2016 by Dee Leave a Comment

My elders tell me that our lineage began with Native heritage. I am looking for GrGrGr Grandparent, Robin C. “Bebb” Major, born 1787 in Virginia and moved to Tennessee. According to the 1860 Census, he was a free inhabitant in Gladeville, Wilson, Tennessee and a farmer. Bebb married Nancy Whurley, (born 1826) in 1845. The only documentation I have about him is he married at age 58, he had some kids, his property went into probate and inferred death date is about 1866. I have hit a brick wall in the family tree and have almost decided that he came from outer space, dropped off some kids and took back off again. I would like to settle this…Any information is greatly appreciated. (Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina).
