I have always been told I am Cherokee, but I am searching the Dawes Roll and cannot find anything. Can anyone help?

Hi everyone! If anyone can help me with some information It would be greatly appreciated! On my moms side my great grandmother was Nina Goforth of Athens TN. Her mother was Gertie Hall also of Athens. My moms maiden name is Dyer, also of east TN. On my dads side, our last name is Sharp of East TN. I unfortunately dont know of any specific dates or marriages.
