Looking for information on my great great grandfather, Elisha Williams, born 1824, per census. Lived in Glensprings Spartanburg, SC. Married Nancy Powell (second wife), and had a son, John Williams (my g grandfather). One census listed a father, Stoball Williams, but I can find no information on this person. My great grandfather, John Williams received a settlement check from the department of Indian affairs, and he and his son had their picture taken by them as well. Any information is appreciated.
