Lauree Nichols

I am looking to find more information about my great grandmother Lauree Nichols from Ok. All I know is she was in Oberlin OH and met my Great Grandfather Irving Kip Stearns who she married. Irving was from Bryson City NC just outside of Cherokee, NC. It is said he donated to help fund the play ‘Unto these Hills’ because my grandmother was part Cherokee. Her surname is one found often in the Rolls but I have no knowledge of her parents name and cannot find birth certificates or any documentation. She was said to have a sister named Julie. I believe she is buried in Bryson City in the Stearns family plot but I have not been there in years. I do not have extended family that have any family knowledge beyond her name.
