Am trying to determine if my paternal great grandmother’s family is Cherokee. Her name was Nancy L Thomas (1874-1920) born to Mary Walker (1837-1897) daughter of Littleberry Walker, Jr (1802-1868) and Nancy Newbern. Littleberry Walker, Jr. was the son of Littleberry Walker (1767-1893) and Elizabeth Johns (1768-1835).
My father’s family has claimed that Nancy L Thomas was full-blooded Cherokee.
