Looking for any link to the tribe. There is a lot of native blood in my line. Grandfather was Howard MOORE, his parents were COOPER,grandmother Dixie Loretta HAMILTON, her mother Ella JENKINS. Native queen on my fathers side 3 generations back although not sure if Cherokee or not. Father was Kenneth E KINGSBURY Jr. Grandfather was Kenneth KINGSBURY Sr. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

My grandmothers maiden name was Cooper. Her parents were Absalom Cooper and Sarah Jane Coffman. My grandmother had only one name that I know of and that was Sadie. She was born in the town of Jane, county of McDonald and state of Missouri on Oct. 16, 1887. She married Arthur Joseph Dix on Jan. 10, 1904 in Perkins, Payne County, Okla. Terr. They lived near Ingalls, Payne county, Okla. Terr. when their first child was born in 1905. I was always told that an Cherokee Indian chief gave her some land in that area. All the pictures of her and others on that side of my family have Indian features.
I forgot to mention that my grandfather Arthur Joseph Dix parents were William Larkin Dix and Josephine M. Moore. from around Nelson, Cooper County, Missouri.
First question is . . . . what is a “Native queen?”
