I’m trying to find out my Cherokee heritage. My great great grandmother name was Mazetta or Mazeda or Mazita McDowell. Her father Sid was 50% Cherokee, but there are no records of her Mother. Records show the McDowell’s came from Kentucky to Missouri to Cooper. Any info is greatly appreciated
