Morning Cassin Edwards

May 4, 2016 by brandik Leave a Comment

I am trying to find any information on my ggggrandmother. My dad swears he knows this is her name and that she is fullblood Cherokee. What he and his sister were able to find in the early 90’s doing extensive genealogy research follows: Morning Cassin was married to John Edwards, and had a son named Jasper Edwards in Florida in 1864, give or take a few years, possibly in either Alachua or Levy County in Florida. Jasper Edwards married Eveline Clark, their son John Henry Edwards was born on 11/15/1883 in Suwannee County, Florida. Through my own research I did learn that the majority of the Edwards side of my family was born in North Georgia, bordering North and South Carolina, so that may be where they met.
