My Ancestry Quest

October 21, 2022 by dowooc Leave a Comment

I am delving into my ancestry. My Great-grandmother was Suzen (Suzanna) Henley. I am finding a grave stone for Viola Henley McKinley (July 6,1888-July 1,1978) She married Andy McKinley. Birth records show she was born about 1854 in Choctaw County, Mississippi.

She gave birth to a daughter, Orabell (Bella) McKinley (1887-1966) who married George Ford (a Mulatto). Orabell gave birth to my mother, Georgia Mary Ford (Woods).

I grew up in Mississippi. So did the rest of my ancestry. Research shows that Native Americans resided there long before others. I was told that Suzen (Suzanna) was full-blooded Native American. Due to Native American ancestry, I am reaching out to you, to learn the remainder of my ancestry.

My name is Doris Louise Woods (Cline).I mothered an adult daughter, who has blessed me with a Grandbaby girl whose hair initially grew in a mohawk. She is so beautiful. I would like to gift my daughter and toddler granddaughter with their Native American ancestry.

Please, assist in this quest.

Sincerely,

Doris Woods Cline.

Thank you.
