Searching for info (if there is any) of Talaquah, reputed to be :King of the Cherokee Nation and either grandfather or great grandfather of 1/2 Cherokee, Rebekah whose father was a white man named John Robert Hardin/Harden and Cherokee mother named Tallulah. Rebekah was born ca 1765 in NC,; married to John Hutchins in Anson, NC ca 1780 by Moravian Missionaries and died in MS – unless she went back home to NC. We have not located a grave for her. They were in NC 1781; in GA in 1782 and Warren, GA in 1786. In 1810 many family members including John and Rebekah moved to Lawrence Co., MS. They were located in Frankiln Co., MS on the Homochitto River in 1811. Before moving to Mississippi, they lived in areas around Tugalo and Keowee (Seneca) Rivers in GA and NC .
John Hutchins was born ca 1756 in NC and died in June 1830 in Mississippi. Any information on Tallequah or Tallulah or Rebekah or John Robert Hardin or John Hutchins to confirm, add to or deny the above would be GREATLY appreciated. Any help on proving her family lineage or marriage is what I especially need. Thanks for any help.

I am also descended from Moytoy II Pigeon of Tellico, I believe. I am a direct descendant of Rev. Hardin Williams (brother or half-brother to Philip “Buckspike” Williams) whose father was James Williams and whose mother (I believe) was a sister of your Rebekah, being a half-white (I believe half-French, specifically) half-Cherokee daughter of a man named Hardin and a full-blood Cherokee relation (daughter or granddaughter) of Chief Moytoy of Tellico.
There are two other threads on here pertaining to this family that I am aware of.
