Looking for information on my family genealogy. I’ve traced back several generations but am unable to determine where the Cherokee heritage actually lies. I was told my great-grandmother’s mother was full blooded Cherokee, named Harriet Jane Self, later married to Charley Sparks. She was born in 1888 in Newton County, Arkansas.

Have you seen your findagrave page? It can get you back to parents and grandaparents. The lines going back a number of generations appear to be of standard Anglo-American backgrounds.

great great granpaw married a full cheerokee he was from dublin and came over and became a trapper
