I am trying to find information on my paternal grandmother Vester Mae Watkins. I have found a grave for her and my grandfather, Julius Henry Lard, who are both buried in North Carolina Cemetery in Alabama, but despite my efforts I cannot find anything else on Vester. On many of her children’s obituaries she is referred to as Vesta instead of Vester. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

1900 census Blackburn Ala. Lauderdale Co. John R and Martha Watkins parents. Her maiden name is either Canada or Kennedy. Children are:
Gillis ( James) ,,,, Vester M. ,,,,,,, Iona ( Clara),,,,,,,Julia Blanche married a Fulks,,,,,, Sallie V , married a Collier.
Vester’s application for a SS Card, lists her father as John R Watkins. Husband Henry Lard.
